The JULA Foundation was born from a personal legacy, professional purpose, and a deep
desire to elevate lives. Founded by Jai Lyle, an entrepreneur, speaker, and FAMU MBA
graduate, the foundation reflects his lifelong commitment to legacy, excellence, and community
empowerment.
The roots of the foundation trace back to Jai's work with Florida A&M University’s School of
Business & Industry, where he led a pitch competition centered around the transformative power
of first impressions—teaching students how personal presentation, style, and confidence can
shape their professional futures. This initiative laid the groundwork for one of The JULA
Foundation’s core values: helping youth tap into their highest potential through mentorship,
entrepreneurship, and personal development.
Beyond academia, Jai extended his mentorship through the Steve Harvey Mentoring
Program, where he sponsored branded apparel, hosted impactful panel discussions, and
provided one-on-one coaching to young men on personal branding and entrepreneurial thinking.
These experiences affirmed a truth the foundation now lives by: youth thrive when they are
seen, supported, and given tools to build legacies of their own.
Yet, the soul of The JULA Foundation is deeply personal. Jai's mother, a gifted designer, model,
and proud Tuskegee graduate, transitioned after a battle with ovarian cancer. Her grace,
creativity, and legacy continue to inspire the foundation’s mission to support cancer patients and
drive awareness and advancement in clinical trial research. What began as a personal loss has
evolved into a broader commitment to provide hope, healing, and holistic care for those
navigating similar journeys.
Today, The JULA Foundation stands as a bridge between purpose and impact—uplifting the
next generation of leaders while standing in solidarity with those battling cancer. Through
mentorship, wellness advocacy, educational programming, and compassionate support, we
continue to move forward, guided by love, legacy, and the belief that everyone deserves the
chance to become the greatest version of themselves.
